Frequently asked questions about therapy
-
If you're unsure whether therapy is the right next step, or whether I'm the right psychologist for you, you're welcome to book a complimentary 15-minute consultation call.
This is an opportunity to briefly discuss your concerns, ask questions about the therapy process, and get a sense of how I work.
Research consistently shows that the quality of the therapeutic relationship is one of the strongest predictors of positive outcomes in therapy. The consultation can help you decide whether my approach aligns with your needs and goals.
If you'd prefer to get started straight away, you can submit an enquiry through the Contact page to arrange an appointment.

Perfectionism and high self-pressure
People-pleasing or difficulty setting boundaries
Relationship challenges or recurring patterns
Feeling overwhelmed or burnt out
-
The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and develop an understanding of what has brought you to therapy.
We'll discuss your current concerns, goals, relevant background information, and any questions you may have about the process. Together, we'll identify your needs and discuss the most appropriate path forward.
-
My approach is collaborative, evidence-based, and tailored to your individual needs.
Depending on your goals and experiences, therapy may draw from a range of evidence-based approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT).
You can learn more about my approach on the Therapy page.
